I’m late but the fact that they changed Kim from being a cheerleader to a soccer player is actually a lot worse than you think. First the reason for Kim in the original being so acrobatic is due to her cheerleading skills. Second Disney is known for making the cheerleaders dumb mean girls so Kim being a cheerleader was actually a huge deal and Disney changing that is basically saying that the hero can’t be a cheerleader. The thing is cheerleading is a sport just like soccer and in my experience I have known people who do both cheerleading and soccer

This cartoon is underrated, but I still like it, I have only good impressions and the cartoon also has an underrated soundtrack. And the goat's song in the Russian dub sticks in my head

I feel like the allegory would be less problematic if the zombies had brains as part of their natural diet, but didn’t get monstrously hangry, and the whole thing with the zombie apocalypse was just history being rewritten. I mean it’s not a perfect solution and still would have been problematic as hell but man that would have been way less racist.

I think Kirk's utter irrelevance and uselessness is just part of the film's humor. Frog Cogsworth himself states: "I think it's safe to say our thespian friend here knows the least about anything of everyone in this room." The build-up to that line sells it, the way Flippers recaps how Kirk's only there because he was pretending to be a woodsman to sell foot cream.

I'll be honest. This movie is fkin terrible. There is no growth from any characher (other than Knives), all women are treated as sex prices for scott to pursue and serms like a total incel fantasy land (manic pixie dream girl sex doll/empty husk of a human included, oh and dating minors too, great movie!!!). Also wallace's whole personality is being gay and its the worst representation i have ever seen (he literally gags every time anyone talks about being atracted to women) but the rest of the charachters are so bad in comparacent he is the only likeable one. This movie is so bad it makes me doubt if whoever made it has ever met a woman, or a gay man before making this absolute flaming pile of boring sht.

The reason Spotify has the characters listed as the artists is that disney just did that for some reason, like phineas and ferb the characters like isabela and candace are credited individually instead of the real actors or the whole cast as one page like with adventure time and steven universe

Actually, there are books of Descendants and they give us a ✨️✨️Carlos sad back story✨️✨️ And I love that "Mal" means "bad" and "Ben" means "good", that was nice.

I agree with calling out Scott's relationship with Knives to an extent but I don't think he's as much of a creeper as some people see him. He is fully aware of how shitty and inappropriate it is. I'm not quite sure how to phrase it but I've never gotten the impression that he was actually sexually interested in her. It's more an expression of self-loathing and leaning into people's worst impressions of him after the Envy breakup. Is Scott an awful person? Absolutely. Is he a pedo? I really don't think so. (Scott Pilgrim is my favorite movie too, btw. This is just one bit of criticism I think most people largely miss the nuance of.)

Nostalgia can't convince me this movie was good I still love it though
